We are looking for confident, enthusiastic, proactive, fast learning and results-oriented people to join us as IT Support Engineer to work on the challenging projects for the major international investment bank in Kyiv, Ukraine. Relocation from other locations is possible.
Responsibilities
- Provide generalist customer / desktop support for all users on both standard workstations and virtual workstations.
- Provide basic 1st line application support for the various pieces of software used in the EME sites. Be able to pass a detailed analysis of an issue to 2nd line support team for issues which cannot be resolved immediately.
- Support and administer the Windows Desktop environment, rebuild workstations and laptops, load standard software applications and test hardware.
- Mobile & Blackberry support
- Provide local Network support and interact with Global network teams where necessary.
- Perform Basic Voice and AV support (Cisco Call Manager)
- Perform Basic Server support (rebuilding servers, troubleshooting, ensuring server is up to date with latest security revisions).
- Manage relationship with local IT vendors.
- Provide advice and guidance to users.
- Assist local IT management to ensure compliance with bank policy in areas such as Audit, IT Security and Change Management.
- Travel on short notice to sites in Europe and the Middle East for site visits and support other offices as required.
- Participate in team support rota, performing either an early or late shift each day
Must have
- Excellent level of Ukrainian and English (should be able to speak with colleagues on IT related questions, read and write IT documentation etc)
- IT Applications support troubleshooting
- Basic knowledge of ITIL
- Familiar with change and problem management toolsets and control processes. E.g. HP Service Centre.
- Experience in customer support, prior support experience of either Front or Back office applications.
- Proven ability to manage small / medium size projects
- Ability to be part of a virtual team, working with and reporting into colleagues physically based in other EME offices.
Preferred:
- Good Infrastructure knowledge: Windows Servers, Network (Cisco), desktops and laptops
- Third language (e.g. German, Russian, Czech)
- Problem Management skills (investigation, diagnosis and escalation).
- Having, or demonstrating an ability to build, relationships with local IT vendors
